Fight illegals: Finland forbade Russians to enter the country on bicycles

When the border guards noticed that cyclists were becoming more and more, it was decided to fight it. Therefore, entry on this transport was banned. Since November 9, at least three checkpoints have stopped missing cyclists from Russia on the Russian-Finnish border. This was reported by the Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Service of Southeastern Finland Yukka Lucari, reports Yle. "Illegal immigrants have increasingly tried to enter Finland on bicycles.

Over the last week, there were about 30 cases. This is a clear phenomenon," he emphasized. According to Lucari, when the border guards noticed that cyclists were becoming more and more, it was decided to fight it. Therefore, from Thursday, entry on this transport was banned, he said. Another employee of the checkpoint of the Border Guard "Vaalima" informed the Russian State Agency that all the checkpoint in the southeast of Finland was closed for entry into the country on bicycles from Russia.

It is not yet known with what it is related. In total, nine checkpoints operate on the Russian-Finnish border. According to the media of the Russian Federation, the restriction on entry applies to the checkpoint "Iatra", "Nuuamaa" and "Vaalima". It is noted that these are car checkpoints, so they cannot be walking. In Latvia, as it became known at the end of October, the process of confiscation of cars with Russian registration and their further transfer to Ukraine will begin.
