Putin announced the conscription

From the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian authorities have ordered the collection of reservists to study, and the documents in Rosmia testify. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the call for military meetings of Russians who are in the reserve of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is stated separately that this applies to all subjects of the federation, and the local authorities should contribute to it.

Putin's decree was written in the Telegram channel Roszma TASS. The post about the reservists appeared on the network around 7:30 pm on January 16. It is stated that this happens annually and applies to the military reserve of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Rosgvardia, the Ministry of Emergencies, the FSB and all kinds of security structures. According to Russian legislation, military exercises will be held in the decree.

In RIA Novosti RIA and TASS, preliminary messages can be found for reservists call. For the first time, the annual exercises were written on February 18, 2022: the previous data in Telegram was not found. Similar orders were issued in 2023 and in 2024 in the first months. At the same time, the screenshots show that the documents are completely identical, only a year changes.

There are also separate remarks for reservists who were called for training in 2023: the Russians reassured that they would not get into the war zone. It should be noted that the focus previously talked about the mobilization in the Russian Federation and how the Kremlin receives new soldiers. In September 2022, a partial mobilization began in the Russian Federation, with the results of which about 450 Russians got into the Russian army, Ukrainian intelligence reported.

After that, the conscription continued, but the Kremlin did not mobilize, but recruited volunteers for a contract. According to GUR, in January 2024, 30,000 contractors were recruited per month. Meanwhile, since the summer of 2024, analysts began to monitor the growth of volunteers. For example, in August, residents of Krasnodar region received the largest amount - 1. 6 million rubles, and the least - from Tyumen (67 thousand rubles). As it turned out, the average size of volunteers increased five times and reached 900 thousand rubles. At the same time, the regardment region has changed: now they were given the most in the Ivanovo region (1. 6 million rubles).
