"Clean Lies": Siarto stated that the Russians and Belarusians did not threaten the European Union
According to him, the decision of Budapest on the simplified entry for the inhabitants of the two countries listed above does not carry any risks for the Schengen area. "We regret to see that our colleagues from Northern Europe and the Baltic States continue the campaign of lies against Hungary. Of course, it is not uncommon on the part of leading politicians, but such neglect is alarming," Peter Siarto wrote.
Separately, the Hungarian Foreign Minister wrote that Russian and Belarus citizens will not pose any threat to the European Union, because they will still be thoroughly inspected at entry and during stay in Hungary. Accordingly, Budapest's decision is allegedly not affected. "Any statements of our leading colleagues in Northern Europe and the Baltic countries about the opposite is a pure lie," Peter Siarto summed up.
We will remind, on July 30 it was reported that Hungary allowed the Russians and Belarusians without inspections to enter the EU territory. According to journalists, citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus were enrolled in the so -called "National Card" program, which is issued for two years to persons who want to work in Hungary. Later it became known that the EU wanted to punish Hungary through the issuance of visas to the Russians, as it can become an open door for spies.
