According to journalists, the use of 20-year ASML equipment, which goes to the Russian Federation bypassing sanctions, can be used for the production of certain types of military equipment. Since the beginning of August 2023, the Russian organization has announced the import of 16 names of the ASML equipment intended for the production of microchips. Companies in the Russian Federation, despite existing sanctions, continue to register the import of dozens of types of Dutch equipment from ASML. This equipment is compatible with models of machines used in Russian enterprises. During 2023, Krafttek LLC has imported $ 1. 8 million. It turned out to be used ASML equipment, which has been over 20 years old. Owners of outdated lithographic machines from all over the world disassemble them and then sell in parts on different marketplaces.

Russia buys these components and collects them, like a designer. Microchips produced can be used to bypass sanctions and in the production of certain types of military equipment.
