In particular, he confirmed that on March 22, the Ukrainian power system has undergone the most powerful shelling since the beginning of a full -scale invasion. "We lost half of the previously established power. Two of our stations were injured: Burshtyn and Ladyzhinsk. Also, DTEK's toplesser added that the degree of destruction of power units is different: from complete to more than 50%. Sakharuk called destruction throughout the country very serious, because the recovery is not even a month.

Some blocks may start work earlier, but in general, we are talking about 6, 12, 24 months or even more. The DTEK Executive Director explained that after the defect will be known what equipment is lacking. Sakharuk noted that transformers are now critically needed. "We have some equipment reserves, but it has nowhere to be put in connection with very large destruction. In some cases, it is necessary to build blocks in fact from scratch," Sakharuk said.

As of now, it is already known that only a large destroyed equipment requires about $ 200 million, and almost $ 80–100 million will cost rehabilitation work. "It is a tremendous scale of destruction, so companies will not be able to recover without supporting international donors," the Executive Director emphasized.
