Russians hunt for pro -Ukrainian people in occupation: in GUR told how to protect
The press service of GUR published a warning for pro -Ukrainian citizens in the occupation on October 31. The Russians reprogram "for themselves" stolen Ukrainian equipment for mobile communication and the Internet to find pro -Ukrainian inhabitants in the occupied territories, said GUR IU representative Andriy Chernyak. "When the invaders seized these territories, they simply stole this all the equipment and means, reprogrammed them and now used as their own.
All this happens for total control and listening to the residents of the occupied territories," the scout explained. In addition, the occupying authorities block sites and messengers in the occupied territories. When Ukrainians use the prohibition bypassing them, the enemy of the Security Service captures each such case and block entire quarters to identify the user, Andrey Chernyak said.
"There are cases that after blocking entire areas where someone entered a social network, they simply arrest all people, put in prison. And among them they try to find out who went on the Internet, where and what information was transmitted or transferred or what information was transmitted which they received, "the intelligence representative said.
The occupiers also create fake pages of Ukrainian public services on the Internet to use them as a bait, so Andriy Chernyak urged Ukrainians to be vigilant and only use official sources. "The occupiers are trying to create fake information resources, fake accounts that are as similar as possible to GUR resources to make people go there, and the occupying authorities could find them and arrest them," - warned the GUR representative.
We will remind, the center of national resistance on October 31 reported that the Russians select television equipment from the inhabitants of the occupied territories. Instead, people are required to install Russian equipment. Also on September 3, GUR was told how Ukrainians in the occupation cooperate with intelligence.
