In Russia in the sky noticed a new aircraft-Radar "Premier": what is known (photo)

Above Ulyanovsk a plane by DRLV A-100 "Premier" flew. Such aircraft prepares as a replacement A-50. In the air, the new Russian aircraft of the distant radar detection of A-100 "Premier" was recorded for the first time. About it reports a telegram-channel of the militari of the Vanguard segment. Also on the channel was posted a photo of a plane, which was claimed that it was made over the city of Ulyanovsk in the Prize.

It is noted that the A-100, which is created on the basis of IL-76MD-90A, is prepared as a replacement of A-50/A-50U aircraft. The new radar complex, as claimed, will allow the new DRLV to detect bombers and enemy fighters at a distance of 900 and 600 km, respectively. In addition, it is allegedly able to detect on the surface of the earth, at a range up to 400 km, radio contrast objects, that is, accumulation of armored vehicles, etc.

According to open sources, the Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, which is located in the Taganrog of the Rostov region received the first military transport aircraft for conversion to DRLV in November 2014. The first test flight took place in three years. On February 10, 2022, the first flight of the A-100 complex with already included onboard radio technical complex was held.

And if it was initially planned to complete the test and start supplies in 2016, then these terms were officially postponed to 2024. In March, Rostekh reported that the Russian defense industry will restore the production of early A-50U aircraft. The latter such aircraft was released in 1991, and for decades, manufacturers have only modernized existing machines.
