Avdiivka is the first step: Kupyansk's loss can lead to Kharkiv occupation (video)
Such forecasts were announced by the Member of the Provisional Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the monitoring and use of international logistical assistance Alexander Ustinova on February 24 in an interview with Deutsche Welle. The deputy noted that having lost such the largest railway knot as Kupyansk, there is a high chance of losing one of Ukraine's largest cities - Kharkiv.
"Avdiivka is the first step that Ukraine will look like, because after Avdiivka it will be Kupyansk and, unfortunately, Kharkiv. And Kharkiv is the second largest city of Ukraine in which more than a million people live," Ustinova said. According to her, if the necessary military assistance is not provided from the event, the Ukrainian armed forces will face major problems.
"If there are no ammunition, and if we do not get a long range, if we do not have F-16, promised this summer, unfortunately, we will have a huge problem," Ustinova stressed. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told about the situation in Kupyansk direction. Having visited the positions of Ukrainian fighters, the head of state stated that in several sections of the front there was now a very difficult situation, since the occupiers have concentrated the maximum number of reserves.
