It is about committing a war crime by the Russians near the robots of the Zaporozhye region. The execution was recorded on video. Ukrainians with arms raised without weapons were captured. The invaders forced them to lie down and shot them.
Thus, GUR found that Russian invaders that were part of the assault group of the 70th Motorized Rifle Regiment (in/h 71718) of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Army of the Southern District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were involved in the crime. The point of permanent dislocation of this part is located in the city of Chaly, in Chechnya.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, at the time of the death of Ukrainian prisoners of war under the robots the 70th Rifle Regiment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was commanded by a 33-year-old Lieutenant Colonel Abayev Yuri Mirbekovich on the call sign "buffalo". The prisoners were shot dead: in addition, they can be involved in the murder of several more Ukrainian prisoners of war later in May 2024.
This is evidenced by the radio interception of the conversation of the invaders from the 70th regiment, during which one of the Russian commanders of the assault company orders its subordinates to shoot Ukrainians. We will remind, on June 17 it became known that the Russian military in the Donetsk region was beheaded by the Ukrainian military. On June 19, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin stated that the identity of the soldier was established, but had not yet name him.
