"We have a well -known problem: the defense industry does not have time for demand in certain areas," Pistorius said. In addition, he stressed that this initiative covers both the supply of ammunition and air defense systems. According to the Minister, the defense industry actively increases its capacity "in all possible areas", but he emphasized that "the speed of this process depends largely on factors that cannot be unlimited.

" The head of the German Defense Ministry explained that it took time to open the plant and create the necessary stocks, then to produce quickly and smoothly. As an example, Pistorius cited the production of ammunition for the Gepard anti -aircraft self -propelled installation, which Germany had to be restored. According to him, "although they did relatively quickly, however, it still lasted six months.
