Threat of enemy shelling: Ukrenergo told whether they would turn off the light

There are several risks for the Ukrainian power system - Russian shelling and insufficient electricity generation. Therefore, there are different scenarios of the heating season. Volodymyr Kudrytsky, the chairman of the board of NEC "Ukrenergo", declared the restoration of 56 transformer substations, seven in his work. This will allow the "gold standard" to reach when consumers will not notice any shutdowns in the network of air lines of electricity transmission.

He reported this during a meeting of the Congress of local and regional authorities, Ukrinform reports. "We are not going to stop there. After all, we understand that there will be attacks. Accordingly, another 20 units of transformer equipment must be set by the end of the year as a stock of safety," said Vladimir Kudrytsky. According to him, the threat of enemy shelling and insufficient generation of electricity are the main risks to the power system.

Therefore, Ukraine will need in the work all the units that are in the system, even old power plants that have not used past periods. Kudrytsky noted that from the beginning of a full -scale invasion of 250 Russian missiles and drones caused damage to transformer substations. That is why I continue to have new drones on substations in Ukrenergo, while the machine halls where electricity generation is "likely to be attacked".

In turn, the substations have already arranged protection against drones, and the protection of machine halls requires technical solutions. Kudrytsky added that the necessary repair work complicates debts in the electricity market. On his Facebook page, Kudrytsky said that Ukrenergo is working on preparation for winter. "As the head of one of the main infrastructure companies in the country, I have to be a realist: there are very different scenarios of the heating season.

But the past heating season we have gone through the efforts of the Armed Forces, energy, state management and consumers," he said. Volodymyr Kudrytsky added that priority is the restoration of power plants and a high -voltage network. Ukraine will also provide a technical possibility of sufficient imports of electricity from the EU. But we went through the past heating season through the efforts of the Armed Forces, energy, state leadership and consumers.
