"Former head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Gennady Laguta passed away. We express our sincere condolences to the deceased family and share her grief. We understand the bitterness of the loss of all who knew, loved and respected Gennady Nikolaevich," - wrote in Kherson. Journalists of the local edition "Bridge", with reference to their sources, report that Laguta died at night in one of the Kiev hospitals. He was 49 years old. The causes of death were not officially reported.
The deputy of the Kherson Regional Council from Europe Sergey Khlan wrote on his Facebook that Laguta allegedly committed suicide, drinking a large portion of tablets. According to the politician, the expert of the Kherson Regional State Administration decided to such a step because of the accusation of Kherson's surrender. Khlan believes that the accusations were groundless.

The next day "resold" the car to his supervisor. Then the former chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration registered the car in his name. Currently, the vehicle has been seized. During the examination, it was found that a fake signature was placed on a notarial order.
