The Committee supported: Bulgaria can start supplying weapons to Ukraine - media

At once, four parties are ready to support a resolution that will officially supply weapons to the Ukrainian army. Before that, the head of the Ministry of Defense said that as long as the minister, Ukraine would not receive weapons. In the defense and foreign policy committees of Bulgaria Parliament, two proposals were approved that will officially supply weapons to Ukraine. About it reports Euractiv. Currently, only Bulgaria and Hungary do not supply weapons to Ukraine.

After the committees, it is likely that the Bulgaria Parliament will vote for military and technical assistance to Ukraine. The proposal was the initiators of "coat of arms" and "democratic Bulgaria". According to the publication, it is expected that the decision on direct supply of weapons should support the battle of 4 parties: however, BPP parties and "vaplivda" can oppose. The latter appealed to the Minister of Defense to analyze the proposal.

Minister Stoyanov supported the idea of ​​considering the proposal of deputies. The Defense Ministry states that they cannot transfer the C-300 SAM to Ukraine-this is the main complex in Bulgarian air defense. It is emphasized that the "We continue changes" party have previously opposed the supply of weapons to Ukraine, now they are in favor of the idea. The "coat of arms" party says that Ukraine is helping civilized countries.

"I want Bulgaria to be part of this list," said Minov MP from the coat of arms. Democratic Bulgaria stands for weapons, since the same C-300 is already outdated and, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, it is almost impossible to continue their operation.
