"His goal is to destroy Ukraine": Putin is not interested in peace talks - German Foreign Ministry

According to Annalena Berbb, representatives of 140 states have repeatedly visited Moscow to talk to Putin and persuade him to stop the war. However, all the persuasion was in vain. Russian President Vladimir Putin is not actually tuned to peace with Ukraine. His goal is to destroy it. This was stated by German Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalen Berb in an interview with ARD.

According to her, everyone who thought before that he could talk to the Kremlin's head and persuade him to peace was already disappointed in this idea. "He does not want to say, he wants to destroy Ukraine. He is not ready to recall his soldiers, he is not ready to stop killing," Berbb said. She stressed that the representatives of 140 countries have repeatedly visited Moscow to talk to Putin.

The President of the Russian Federation has tried to prove that the war with Ukraine has been harming all over the world, but no hopes have come true. In addition, Berbok commented on China's ending war plan in Ukraine. According to her, the document represents only Beijing's position, and a real peace plan was supported at the UN General Assembly last week. Earlier on February 24, China submitted proposals for the end of the war in Ukraine. The program offered by Beijing consists of 12 points.

Among them are termination of hostilities, abandonment of sanctions, peace talks. We will also remind that on February 23, the UN General Assembly approved the resolution proposed by Ukraine, which urges Russia to immediately remove its troops from the occupied territories. 141 out of 193 member states of the United Nations voted for the resolution. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that in the event of an offensive aggressive war, the German army may not withstand.
