Volumes increased 12 times: Germany continues to buy Russian oil through India
According to Federal Statistical Management, imports of goods to Germany from India increased more than 12 times in the first seven months of the current year compared to the same period last year. According to the United Nations (UN), India is actively purchasing large amounts of crude oil from Russia. Imports from India "mostly consisted of gas -used for the production of diesel or furnace fuel", explained statistics.
India produces these raw oil gas pipelines, which the country has purchased in large quantities in Russia since the beginning of the war. As a result of the war in Ukraine and intense international relations, Germany suspended direct oil imports from Russia. Some Western countries have also imposed restrictions on the price of Russian oil, seeking to manage its world value because of their possibilities in maritime trade and insurance.
