The Ministers of Defense of Russia and China have held a meeting: what Moscow and Beijing agreed

Chinese experts say that the parties have agreed to deepen military cooperation in the field of strategic weapons. At the same time, the PRC invariably advocates the diplomatic resolution of the situation in Ukraine and will facilitate negotiations rather than supplying weapons. Russia's Defense Minister Sergei Shoig and Chinese Defense Office of China Lee Shanfe held an official meeting in Moscow on Tuesday on Tuesday on Tuesday.

Commenting on the event, Chinese military experts noted that according to the results of dialogue, Russia will contribute to the development of strategic weapons and the development of early warning systems about rocket attack. This was reported on April 19 by Global Times.

According to official data of the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Defense, according to the results of the negotiations, both parties agreed to deepen military cooperation and emphasized on mutual support in the relevant key areas. In this regard, the junior researcher of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Zhang Hun suggested that the close cooperation of the military services of the two states would have exchanged experience, in particular in the field of strategic weapons.

"Exchange of experience can begin with other military services, such as strategic missile troops. Russia has announced that China has been helping China in the development of an early warning system," Zhang said. In addition, close cooperation between the military academies of the two countries is expected, which will expand the exchange of personnel in the field of officers training, as well as the study of military theory, the expert said.

As for the crisis in Ukraine, Zhang stressed, the position of China will remain unchanged-it is the promotion of peace and negotiations, not to giving weapons to any of the parties to the conflict. Recall that Chinese diplomats continue to advocate for the idea of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

According to April 17, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Beijing is allegedly ready to start a strategic partnership not only with Russia but also with the international community in order to find a political settlement in the Ukrainian issue.

Analysts from the Institute of War Study have come to the conclusion that the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Ministry of Defense of China Lee Shanfe did not intensify cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.
