"On December 7, 2022, the Cassation Court of France completed the consideration of the cassation complaint of the Savings Bank and supported the position of the Ukrainian financial institution in a dispute against the Russian Federation regarding the compensation of losses caused by the annexation of Ukrainian Crimea.
That is, the Cassation Court left the decision of the Arbitration Court of Paris. Russia is obliged to compensate for Savings Bank's loss as a result of annexation. The case was considered for more than six years. Now the amount payable according to the arbitration decision, taking into account interest, is $ 1. 5 billion.
