Desertyrs will be able to return to the Armed Forces, avoiding punishment: the Council supported the draft law
11322 opens the possibility of returning to the service of those who for the first time during the martial law committed the HCP or desertion. Such servicemen will be able to be released from criminal liability. In order to return to the army instead of punishment, the offenders will need to contact the investigator or prosecutor on their own. The military intention will be approved by the commander.
"We now have to create a system that would decide the situation with the return to the system of servicemen. That is why the current legislation needs change. There are many cases where military personnel who have left part of the person wish to return to the army. We have to give them the opportunity and create the conditions for their return, " - explained Deputy Minister Natalia Kalmykova.
If the changes to the law are adopted, servicemen will be able to be released from liability, and after returning to part, they will be renewed payments and security. The draft card on the Parliament's website indicates that on July 16, it was adopted as a basis for a short time. We will remind, lawyer Rostislav Kravets reported that more than 100 thousand soldiers were left unauthorized in Ukraine.
