GUR named the number of Russian troops in the occupied territories

The grouping of Rosgvardia's troops was represented only partially by battalions. Today it is nearly 33,000 servicemen. About 470 thousand servicemen of the Russian Federation are concentrated in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine today. This was reported by Major General Vadim Skibitsky, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine. This is the number of occupation units focused on land.

According to him, 470 thousand is an exclusively land component. This does not include aviation and naval fleet, which is also involved in operations, in the task of blows. The Major General drew attention to the fact that a new component appeared-the grouping of Rosgvardia's troops. At the beginning of the war it was only partially represented, battalions. Today it is nearly 33,000 servicemen.

According to him, such units ensure the activities of the occupying power, protect the objects, but if necessary, they can perform the tasks of defense in the temporarily occupied territories. "What has changed during this time is the number of groups unfolded in our territory," he said. In two years of a full -scale invasion in Russia, a group of the so -called cover of the state border of the Russian Federation appeared.

According to Vadim Skybitsky, such units are deployed in the territory of three regions of Russia, which are directly bordered by Ukraine. This applies to Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions. Such units, as the invaders themselves point out, must guarantee the safety and holding of elections in order to elect the Kremlin head Vladimir Putin by the President of the Russian Federation.
