The Novovoshakhtyn Refinery has undergone a third attack of Ukrainian drones from the beginning of the war. The network showed the effects of UAV attack on the Novosakhtyn Oil Refinery (Refinery) in the Rostov region. Satellite images were published by the Russian Radio Liberty service on Thursday, June 6.

According to the Wikimapia service, the blow was applied to the installation of Elou-AVT-2,5, which is used to produce liquefied hydrocarbon gases. The personnel confirming the place of the fire show that one of the parts of the installation was protected by special cables from drones.

According to open sources, experts evaluated this protection method as ineffective, noting that "the mounting of cables at a shorter distance will only protect from drones with minimal charge or homemade drones with cumulative ammunition. " Previously, tanks at the Slavic refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban were also covered with nets from drones. The Novosakhtyn Refinery has a capacity of 5 million tons per year and is the largest supplier of petroleum products in southern Russia.
