Horror night in Kropyvnytskyi: As attacking civilian objects, the Russian Federation tries to expand the front line
On the night of March 20, the city of Kropyvnytsky was the most massive attack by the Russian Federation from the beginning of a full -scale invasion. According to Andriy Raykovich, the head of the Kirovograd Regional Military Administration, the enemy used about 21 drones to strikes in the city. As a result of the attack, peaceful dwellings were injured, both in the private sector and the high -rise building. Especially cynical is that the drones hit the Peace Street.
Fortunately, there are no dead, but there are wounded, including children. Medical workers of the regional hospital and ambulance hospitals promptly provide the necessary assistance to the victims, and several surgical interventions have been performed. Psychologists of the SES work with the victims. Due to damage to the railway infrastructure as a result of shelling, Ukrzaliznytsia was forced to change the routes of trains passing through Kirovograd region.
Currently, the city utilities are working to eliminate the effects of the attack, and a mobile point of indomitability will be deployed for residents. According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, an important railway knot is located in Kropyvnytskyi, through which there is a transportation of reserves and equipment. Its destruction would be complicated by logistics for the Armed Forces, especially in the conditions of activation of battles in the Zaporozhye direction.
"Russia seems to be preparing for a new offensive in Zaporizhzhya region, because the Kremlin has not refused to seize this territory. And I think that we can break all plans there now. By the way, this is the second attempt to start an offensive in the Zaporozhye direction. Last time we have gone to Kursk region. The Russian defense is 12 km, ”says Focus Zhdanov.
The attack on Kropyvnytskyi was probably planned in advance, but the current actions of the Armed Forces can break Russia's plans, the expert is confident. The situation becomes a war on exhaustion, where the main question is who has more resources and opportunities to respond quickly to changes at the front. Military analyst Dmitry Snegirev also believes that the invaders have tried to paralyze important infrastructure objects, but civilian terror still remains in the enemy's priority.
"Russia interprets international arrangements to its own interests: for example, after Putin's telephone conversation with Trump, the latter demanded that the strikes on energy objects, but Russia decided that it gave it the right to attack other infrastructure goals. That is why the railway was struck. strategic objects, and aimed at the terror of the civilian population, ”says Focus Snegirev.
If you consider this attack as an attempt to intimidate, it is invested in Russia's general strategy, Snegirev says. "Putin has long been justifying the strikes of civilian objects by the fact that during the Second World War, the Allies bombed German cities. He believes that the West has no moral right to condemn such actions," the analyst continues. Therefore, the main goal of Russia is to demonstrate that there are no "rear cities" in Ukraine.
The strikes were predominantly in frontline or strategic cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv. This time, Kropyvnytskyi was an attack. This is a way of information pressure, a demonstration that any city may be at risk. "Also, the enemy tries to expand the front line. For example, they were activated in Zaporizhzhia region, although there were no such powerful battles before. There is also a noticeable activation in the Sumy direction, as warned by Zelensky.
In Kharkiv the situation is also exacerbated - the enemy comes in the two -year. Four regions, Russia will expand the fighting to new regions, "Snegirev continues. According to him, it is a classic pressure strategy: at the same time, the Kremlin imitates negotiations, but without real arrangements. At the same time, the intensity of shelling only increases. "Now their minimum goal is to take full control of Lugansk and Donetsk region.
But even this initial goal is still unattainable," the expert sums up. We will remind, the focus understood that in fact it is under the agreement of Putin and Trump on the cessation of blows on energy infrastructure. According to the experts surveyed, the attacks in Ukraine will not become less, and only the Russian Federation is beneficial for the "agreement".
