Kyiv has long been negotiating with the Russian Federation and the West for gas to enter Europe at the western point. This was stated in an interview with Focus by the head of the Center for Public Analytics "Tower" and the head of the New Road Charitable Foundation Valery Klochok. According to him, this will avoid any misunderstanding with the West. However, Europe should be aware of the need to stop trade with Russia and reduce its dependence on gas.
"Unfortunately, this will not happen tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, because for many years this addiction has only accumulated," Klechok emphasizes. "Some countries, such as Moldova, have already abandoned Russian gas. The Netherlands now refuse and is refusing to such a step by Austria. " There is now a translational movement, which attests to the increase in Norway power from gas supply to European countries.
But no one will completely overlap the clans because of the system problems and the work of the South Stream that supports Turkey. "Also, we cannot block the gas on our own because it will simply stop helping us," the analyst emphasizes. "And this will be a logical and understandable step from the EU.
