He confessed that he did not feel hatred of Ukraine and Ukrainians, even on the contrary - sympathy.

As Medinsky explained, he "has a lot of blood", which makes him a real Russian. The official called Ukraine part of the Russian lands, the history, culture and heroic past of which he loves. "Ukraine is an inseparable part of the Russian peace . . . We have no conflict with Ukraine. Unfortunately, we have a conflict of traditional colonialists who have built successful colonial empires for centuries, with a territory that did not want to be a colony," Medinsky said.
