Germany transmits Ukraine Iris-T and 100 tanks from Greece and Slovakia-CNN

The Germanic Defense Ministry of Defense Christine Lambrecht has confirmed the transfer of weapons to Kiev. Germany also creates its own new armored infantry brigade because of the threat of safety. Germany's Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht confirmed on October 8 that Germany will hand over the IRIS-T air defense system to Ukraine. She stated this during a visit to German troops stationed in Lithuania, CNN reports.

"Anti -air defense is one of such industries where it is urgent to act," the head of the German Defense Office commented. Germany is also ready to transfer to Kyiv a hundred tanks from Greece and Slovakia. Due to the threats of national security that has grown up recently, Germany creates its own new armored infantry brigade, which can be promptly transferred to Lithuania as needed. According to Lambrecht, the North Atlantic Alliance should also think about strengthening its defense.

"We live in serious times, and it is also important to know where we have gaps in defense," the German politician added. Iris-T is a small range missiles that are equipped with a cooling infrared head of self-introduction. They are launched from the corresponding IRIS-T SLM starting installations. The complex is intended for the destruction of aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, winged and ballistic missiles. Ukraine has to get a version that is not yet armed with the German army.

We will remind, Germany has promised to transfer to Kiev 4 installations of IRIS-T air defense, as well as 30 thousand rounds of 40 millimeters caliber and 24 MG3 machine guns for armored vehicles. The total cost of individual licenses issued by the Federal Government for the export of military goods from January 1 to September 26 is 743 million 658 thousand 611 euros.
