A well -known Ukrainian publishing house was suspected in connections with Russia: in bookstores reacted

Journalists have found that Bookchef Publishing House could still be related to the Russian Giant Exmo. The Ukrainian bookstores began to declare a break with this partner one by one. A well -known Ukrainian publishing house may be related to Russian business. This is stated in the joint investigation of the Media Sensor and the Molfar Community, published on December 29. In 2003, the Russian publishing house "Exmo" and Ukrainian businessman Yaroslav Marynovych founded Exmo-Ukraine LLC.

After the war in 2014, the entrepreneur announced a break in the Russian Federation, and the previously created LLC was renamed the "distribution book trading company". Subsequently, the business was rewritten to a new owner - Kharkiv pensioner Lyudmila Bozhko. Investigators are convinced that the woman was a false person. In addition to the "distribution book trading company" she owns LLC "Force Ukraine". In turn, this firm owns trademarks of the same name, online book24 and Bookchef.

To the full -scale invasion of the Armed Forces "Force" was imported and printed by Russian books, most of them - the already mentioned hostile "Exmo". After the beginning of the Great War, "Fors" was also repeatedly accused of connection with Russia. In particular, on the books from Exmo "in 2022, this company was listed as an official distributor. Bookchef and Book24 have other beneficiaries than "Force". In the case of publishing house, the founder is Kharkiv Andrei Plekhov.

Online books belongs to his wife Natalia Plekhova, who is also the daughter of Bozhko (owner of "Forses"). The media assume that they are all false persons. Bookchef has a link with the mentioned "distribution book trading company": archival data for 2015 from the publishing site and joint CEO Alexander Kirpichov testify to this.

"We assume that the" distribution book trading company ", as well as" Force Ukraine "with subsidiaries-are companies whose ultimate beneficiary may not really be an 81-year-old pensioner from Kharkiv, but former owners of" Exmo "in Ukraine,"-said Investigators. The actual owners of all three companies - publishers and the site - are Ukrainian.

However, even after the full -scale invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Bozhko continues to keep a page in "classmates" and puts liked the pro -Russian posts. Her daughter has a hostile passport and registered business in Moscow in May 2022. Moreover, Russia has a Book24 clone and its owner is Exmo. His Ukrainian version is presented on Russian services that offer shopping keshbeck.

Bookchef owner Andriy Plekhov, according to journalists, has a card of Russian Sberbank, and books of his publishing house in 2022 can be purchased on a hostile platform Wildberries. Nevertheless, both businesses-both the publishing house and the online book-have repeatedly won tenders and received money from the state in recent years. The situation was commented by the CEO of Vivat publishing house, which also has a network of bookstores of the same name, Yulia Orlova.

She said that Vivat has an additional agreement with Bookchef. The document guaranteed that the publishing house has no links with the Russian Federation or Belarus. Orlova stressed that the published investigation makes these questions again, and Vivat awaits "convincing evidence". While they are not present, Bookchef books will be removed from the company's site and bookstores. Also appeared the official position of the bookstore.

Bookchef also assured partners in the absence of ties with Russia and Belarus. In bookstores and on the company website the company will also stop the sale of publishing books. "" The aggressor agencies with the state is the task of state security bodies. Therefore, we expect that the SBU will clarify its position on the legitimacy of the Bookchef Publishing House, "the press service added. The Yakaboo also did not delay with the answer.

Business announced the" immediate "termination of cooperation with Bookchef, condemned the publishing house and called for Ukrainian readers to stop. " The books of this publishing house will no longer appear on the shelves of our bookstore and on our sites, " - they promised in Yakabo. any relationships and did not carry out commodity operations with these companies, or their officials, "-said in the post.
