Will strengthen the air defense of Ukraine: Lithuania transmits the Armed Forces six systems Amber-1800 (video)

The Lithuanian radar station AMBER-1800 can automatically detect air objects and their coordinates up to 400 kilometers. Lithuania will buy six radar stations (radar) AMBER-1800, designed to detect air objects for the Defense Forces. This was announced by German Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius. The head of the German defense department noted that Vilnius will provide Kiev Amber-1800 as part of the initiative "Immediate Air Defense" actions aimed at strengthening Ukraine's air defense.

The Minister did not specify the timing and other details of the radar supplies to Ukraine. "The supply of six radar systems Amber-1800 is the contribution of Lithuania to the rescue of life in Ukraine," said Boris Pistorius. The Militar portal writes that the AMBER-1800 radar is produced by the Lithuanian company Altimus-Tech, created by the founders of the Ukrainian Scientific Production and Production Enterprise "Aerotechnic-MLT".

In 2022-2023, Altimus-Tech had difficulty in obtaining export licenses, however, apparently, the problem was solved. As noted in the edition, the AMBER-1800 station is intended for automatic detection of air objects, their coordinates by azimuth and range. It consists of a hardware cabin with basic electronic equipment and a car platform with a leveling system that carries an antenna-knot, deployment system, antenna-foot system, two power plants.

According to the experts of the portal, the detection of air objects depends on a number of parameters, in particular the height, the effective area of scattering of the target and the radiation power of the radar. Depending on the power (8 kW/10 kW/30 kW) at different heights of Amber-1800 is able to detect objects: Recall that on April 26, military intelligence found and caused fire damage to hardware and the latest RLS "Bruds" in Russian Federation.

With the help of this station, the occupiers revealed and suppressed small UAVs-homemade drones-Kamikadze, Djiphantom, Djimavic. In addition, on April 27, the GUR was informed that the special forces of the Gus-9 group together with the servicemen of the 15th separate brigade of artillery intelligence "Black Forest" destroyed a relatively new Russian RLS 48ya6 K-1 "Podlet".
