Back in 1999, Yerevan purchased about 8 WM-80 cars. The reactive installation starts a projectile weighing almost 500 kg for a distance of up to 80 km. Chinese artillery was shown in the arsenal of the Ethiopian army. Now the WM-80 volley fire reactive system has been observed in Armenia's arms. About it reports Army Recognition. In the Armenian Armed Forces, they noticed the WM-80 launcher, developed by the Chinese company Norinco. The machine is based on the older WM-40 caliber 273-mm.

The systems have been acquired by Armenia for a long time. For a long time, it was the most difficult and darling system in the Armenian Arsenal, except for ballistic missiles. Armenia had an advantage over Azerbaijan, thanks to Chinese WM-80, until Baku was overtaken by Yerevan in military potential in the mid-2000s. Artillery was purchased in China in 1999 in the amount of up to 8 units. Each WM-80 reactive ammunition weighs 484 kg, of which 134 combat part. One RSZV has 4 launch missiles.

The main characteristics of the WMS WM-80: It is known that in China WM-80 has already been replaced with a more modern A-100 jet system. At the same time, Armenia ordered the Pinaka Indian RSSU and ammunition. Machines are necessary to replenish the loss of "tornadoes" and WM-80 after recent wars with Azerbaijan. The publication notes that geopolitically Armenia tries to diversify the sources of weapons to balance the regional influence of different countries in the Caucasian region.
