Flew on August 26: Poland could not find Russian drone

The military completed the search of a drone that flew into the territory of the Lublin Voivodeship by Ukraine. However, they found nothing. The Polish army completed the search of a drone, which flew over a part of the Lublin Voivodeship on August 26. It was one of the drones that Russia attacked Ukraine. The Poles searched for a drone for 10 days, but to no avail. About it reports RMF FM.

It was noted that the object crossed the Polish border in the area of the Ukrainian city of Chervonograd at 06:43 in Polish time. "The search of the territory ended on Wednesday night. The object was not found. We will publish a statement soon," said Major Eva Zlotnitskaya, Deputy Prescriber of the Armed Forces Operational Command (DORSZ). The military searched the surroundings daily for 10 days.

The fighters of the 19th Bug Brigade of Territorial Defense and the 2nd Lublin Territorial Defense Brigade, with the support of equestrian units and unmanned aircraft, searched for more than 200 square kilometers. The area was also searched using military helicopters. The support of the soldiers was also provided by the hunters of the Polish Hunting Society. Shahamed, which flew to Poland during a massive attack in Ukraine, also searched there.

He spent 33 minutes in Poland's airspace and then disappeared from radars. The military does not exclude that the object could not fall in Poland, but fly further, or even turn back, but radar systems cannot confirm it. From the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine on February 24, 2022, rockets several times violated the Polish border during rocket strikes. In November 2022, a projectile broke out in the village of Pshevodov, causing two people to die.

In December of that year, a Russian C-55 missile fell in the forest near Bygoschaya, and found it only in April 2023. At the same time, the rockets several times entered the air space of Poland near the border with Ukraine, but eventually left it. We will remind, the operative commander of the Armed Forces of Poland Major General Maciei Maci Tick on August 26 stated that the air object was going to knock down, but this was prevented by the weather.
