The draft law on improving the order of receiving, declaring and handling weapons was the first reading. He proposes to allow civilian citizens to store some firearms and ammunition. Ukrainians will legally store found weapons during the war. The Verkhovna Rada supported the corresponding bill in the first reading on March 20. Instead, the Ministry of Internal Affairs must establish the order of declaring weapons and ammunition to it. The project obliges to streamline the rules of wearing, storage and transportation of firearms and ammunition by civilians who are involved in the restraint of aggression of the Russian Federation or other countries, and the order of storage, accounting, sale and disposal of declared weapons. It is about: however, civilians who have declared weapons cannot pass it on to other people.

The weapons and ammunition belonging to the declaration are not to be declared: we will add that the Law No. 9538 was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on July 28, 2023.
