Almost all militants -

The SBU has declared suspicion of 8 L/DNR fighters who fought against the Armed Forces in Kherson and Donetsk region

Almost all militants - "with experience", because even before the beginning of the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation joined the terrorist groups "L/DNR" and fought against the forces of the ATO in eastern Ukraine. Law enforcement officers declared suspicions of treason with eight LNR and DNR fighters, they were captured in the Donbass and in the Kherson region. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The SBU collected the evidence base for 8 more traitors who entered the ranks of occupation groups of the Russian Federation and fought against Ukraine. The security and defense forces took them in prisoners during the brutal battles in Liman and Lisichansk areas, as well as during the liberation of the right -bank part of Kherson region. "Among the detainees - grenade launchers, radio telephonist and machine guns," the message reads.

Almost all of them are "experienced", because even before the start of the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation joined the terrorist groups "L/DNR" and fought against the ATO forces in eastern Ukraine. At the end of February 2022, the attackers voluntarily became part of the regular units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the Southern Military District of the aggressor country. Together with the Russian invaders, they stormed Ukrainian cities in Donetsk and Kherson regions.

During the fights, different types of enemy automatic and anti -tank weapons were used. They also equipped fire positions of the invaders and built fortifications for them to restrain the counter -offensive operations of Ukrainian troops. On the basis of the evidence collected, investigators of the Security Service were informed to the fighters of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine Part 2 of Art. 111 (State betrayal committed in martial law) and Part 7 of Art.

111-1 (collaborative activity). Investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the criminal activity of the attackers. They are threatened with life imprisonment. The investigation was conducted by SBU staff in Ivano-Frankivsk region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office. We will remind, the SBU identified the identity of another Russian occupier who committed military crimes against civilians in Ukraine.
