Avoid Russians: NOC shared recommendations for Ukrainian athletes at the Olympics

The National Olympic Committee understands that Ukrainian athletes can meet with representatives of "neutral" countries in competitions. At the same time, citizens of Belarus and the Russian Federation are recommended to avoid and not interact with them. Already in the summer in French Paris, the Olympic Games will be held. Citizens from Russia will also be present there, and therefore Ukrainian athletes were given recommendations on how to contact them.

They were published by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC). The department states that preparation for games is carried out in the conditions of Russian aggression, and work that athletes from Belarus and Russia are not allowed to competition. They also take into account the safety issues of Ukrainian athletes who can meet with representatives of aggressors in the competition.

"In order to protect Ukrainian athletes from provocative situations and to promote the safety of representatives of the official delegation of the National Team of Ukraine at Games in Paris and developed and approved recommendations on contact with individual neutral athletes from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus," - said.

The list published by the National Olympic Committee is advised to Ukrainian citizens: we recall that on April 15, it was reported that French President Emmanuel Macron wants a truce between the Russian Federation and Ukraine from July 26 to August 11. To do this, he intends to enlist support from China. On April 22, it was reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky responded to this.
