"Putin has only one option and he doesn't want to take it" - Kuleba

According to the Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, instead of looking at the eyes and looking for a way out, the Russian president is throwing more and more resources in the attempt to win. Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot win the war against Ukraine. Therefore, he has one option - to admit defeat. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleb told this in an interview with the American media Public Radio on Monday, January 9.

Answering the journalists' questions about how Putin's strategy has changed over the last year, Kuleba noted that in Ukraine they had been calculated with the plans of the President of the Russian Federation, but later understood the logic of his actions. "Oh, I think we miscalculated with him. At that time (at the beginning of the war) he pulled the whole army to the border of Ukraine. Deeply inside he made the decision to invade and prepared the basis for this invasion.

But, you know, you know, you know. We look back in this situation, and now we can understand the sequence and logic of his actions. Everything was not as clear as it is now, "the Foreign Minister of Ukraine said. According to Dmitry Kuleba, Putin has only one way out of the situation - to admit the defeat of Russia. But the President of the Russian Federation does not want to stop, but on the contrary, attracts more resources against Ukraine.

"If I look at the battlefield and the situation now, I think Putin is not so many options. In fact, I think he has only one option but he doesn't want to take it. And this option is to lose war. Difficulty. Difficulties But the tragedy of this moment is that he does not want to look in the eyes and look for a way out. Instead, he throws more and more resources and, most importantly, human resources, trying to win at all costs. But it won't happen. He won't. She is going to win, "Kuleba said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that yet Russia does not seek the end of the war with Ukraine and rejects the formula of peace proposed by President Vladimir Zelensky. "Russia can be liked or dislike, but it is about creating a coalition - a coalition of countries that are ready to look for a diplomatic decision according to President Zelensky's proposals," Kuleba summed up.
