Additional Air Defense and Frontity: President of Ukraine met with US Secretary of Defense

President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the United States Defense Minister Lloyd Austin within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in Ramstein. “We are grateful for your clear position to continue to provide us with all the necessary military support and for US leadership in Ramstein format. This is the key to success in the battlefield, ”the Head of State said.

Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the President of the United States for an announced military support package of $ 250 million. The parties discussed its filling and other needs of defense forces. Separately, the Head of State stressed that Ukraine needs permission to use Western long -range weapons on military sites in Russia.

The President noted that due to the intensification of rocket-torn terror against Ukrainians and critical infrastructure on the part of the Russian Federation, our state also needs additional means of air defense. During the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Lloyd Austin discussed how to accelerate the supply of military assistance from already agreed support packages, and expand training missions for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters.
