According to journalists, the Russian has long collected information about secret scientific developments in order to receive monetary rewards from foreign special services. In the Russian Federation, a resident of Nizhny Novgorod for espionage in favor of Ukraine, the United States and the United Kingdom was sentenced. This was reported by Nizhny Novgorod on June 20. It is reported that Nizhnytsnytsets worked at a local military enterprise.

To hide his contacts with foreign special services, the man used counterfeit documents and special software equipment. Journalists claim that the man was allegedly preparing to make the State Council, collecting information about classified scientific developments in order to receive a cash remuneration for it. The publication also states that the accused initially refused to admit himself guilty, but later began to cooperate with the investigation "under the pressure of indisputable evidence".

A criminal case was initiated against the Russian under Article 275 of the Criminal Code (treason). He was sentenced to 9 years in prison. According to the Russian edition "Kommersant", it is about Victor Ilyin, who was an employee of the Federal Nuclear Center. He participated in the development of the "pre-executive mechanism of the blast" and "combat part of the directional action".
