Journalists have specified that this innovation came into force on January 1, 2025. Previously, prisoners could conclude a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry and receive one -time payments. The authors of the material also emphasized that in Russia there is a law that provides for prisoners who go to the front, conditional release. Completely criminal prosecution is terminated after receiving the state, end of war or loss of life or health.
