Since then, the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia has lost confidence in maintenance with the Russian Federation, as malfunctions continued to detect where the Russians had access. Expert Lieutenant General Lubomir Sloboda also suggests that the Russians deliberately damaged the Mig-29 fighter. "We took from them an engine that was to work 350 hours. And in the end, it flew for only 70 hours. What can we do from it? Maybe there was a bad performance, let's call it so. I don't know," Sloboda said.
