Bild reported the second summer offensive of the Russian Federation: the NSDC CPD head called it "nonsense"

To spread: The German edition of Bild has written about the Russian command plans to start a new offensive in Ukraine using 30,000 North Korea soldiers. The deterioration of the situation in the war is expected, as the North Korean soldiers will be on the border, and the border guards of the Russian Federation will move on the battlefield. Information on the new Russian offensive was criticized at the Center for Counteraction to Misinformation under the National Security and Defense Council.

The assumption of the Kremlin's plans for the continuation of the war appeared on the Bild portal in the afternoon on July 13. The article referred to the publications of Russian military bloggers who assured that the new offensive would begin by the end of the summer of 2025. In addition, there are words of anonymous interlocutors in the Ukrainian government, which are confident in the desire of the Russians to continue the war.

The media wrote that the article on the second offensive of the Russian Federation is based on the posts of the pro-Russian Telegram-channel "Razvedchik" and the channel of the far-right Russian politician Maxim Kalashnikov. These two sources reported how the events will be degraded: when the offensive will start and where the resources will come from.

According to the "Razvechik", the Russian General Staff already allegedly made a plan of a new summer offensive company and handed it to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The expected start time is the second half of the summer. Meanwhile, Kalashnikov reported that 30,000 DPRK soldiers will take part in the campaign, which Moscow has recently agreed with Pyongyan. According to him, Koreans will deliver the border.

This will release the border guards as well as other military units and will be sent on the offensive. As Bild wrote, citing Kalashnikov, the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation [probably refers to Valery Gerasimov] that Putin assured that the troops were ready for a large -scale offensive for the next few months. It is a breakthrough outside the front line in the east and south of Ukraine in four regions - Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhia, Kherson.

The German media did not provide references, screenshots or videos with statements of Russian sources. The article is illustrated with a map of fighting with four directions of attacks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Sumy, Kupyansk, Konstantinovka, Pokrovsk). It is not clear, it is about a new offensive of the Russians, or the one that continues now.

The focus failed to find statements about the second offensive of the Russian Federation in the channels "Maxim Kalashnikov - Roy TV" and in the channels that have the word "grade" in the name. Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the NSDC, responded to Bild by Bild. In the post on the Telegram channel, the official stated that the publication of the German media "meaningless".

In his opinion, the media "read" Russian publications and therefore refers to data that was obtained from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Kovalenko stressed that the offensive of the Russians has been continuing in 2024. There is constantly moving units, searching for reserves, attempts at attacks in different directions. The same explains the possible emergence of new DPRK soldiers, who were thrown a year ago to the defense of the Kursk region, he added.

"The Russians have not stopped in general since last year. They are steadily trying to press and have no" new offenses "as such," Kovalenko stressed. It should be noted that on July 10, The Economist estimated the speed of Russian offensive and the pace of occupation of Ukraine. According to analysts, at the existing speed of promotion, the Russians will go to the Western Ukrainian borders for almost 90 years.
