NATO will create a structure for timely supply of weapons to Ukraine - Stoltenberg

According to NATO Secretary General, the amount of funding has not yet been determined, but the supply of weapons should go to Ukraine with a continuous flow. NATO will create a permanent structure at the Washington summit for the organization of weapons supply to Ukraine and their financing. This was reported by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, speaking at a NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

In particular, according to the Alliance Secretary General, he has already proposed several initiatives that the Allies will be able to approve in July at the summit. "Military deliveries should go to Ukraine again with a continuous flow, past delays and failure to comply with deliveries have had serious consequences. This is one of the reasons why I suggested at the summit to approve a larger role in NATO in coordination and assistance and training for Ukrainian forces," he said Stoltenberg.

According to him, the amount of financing has not yet been determined. "We need a solid, strong institutionalized structure. Temporary, short -term voluntary announcements for the allocation of assistance are good, but in the long run we need more predictable and large -scale support of Ukraine," Stoltenberg said. We will remind, on May 26, German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz, while communicating with the residents of Berlin, stated that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO for the next 30 years.
