In other words, the ship is intended for practical preparation of ship helicopters. The decision to build such a vessel is probably due to the wider use of KA-52 helicopters, which are not currently in service with naval forces. However, according to the plans, these machines are planning to use on two universal landing ships of 23900 "surf" built in Kerch, and on two large landing ships of the upgraded project 11711 "Tapir", which is being built in Kaliningrad. But so far none of them has been launched.
