Russia can harm: The Minister of Energy has told if Ukrainians will be with light in the New Year

According to Herman Galushchenko, the country can celebrate the holiday without shutdown of electricity, if there are no new Russian shelling. Energy Minister of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko believes that Ukrainians can spend the New Year without shutdown of electricity if Russia does not strike new massive blows to energy facilities. He stated this on December 26 on the national telephone.

"There is a feeling that they [the Russians] did not refuse to continue to firing our power system," the Ministry's head commented. At the same time, he recalled that the Armed Forces considers preferences to be tied to certain dates. "I think the New Year is one of these dates when they will try to harm the power system as much as possible," Galushchenko added.

According to the minister, it is difficult to plan something now, because Ukraine cannot predict the scale of such a potential Russian shelling and, accordingly, the amount of possible destruction. At the same time, the official indicates that if you look at the last attacks of the enemy, the percentage of the USSAs of Russian missiles and drones are very high. "It gives us such a belief that even if there is a hit, we will restore them quickly," the head of the profile ministry said.

Nowadays, energy is trying to reduce the deficit in the power system and increase electricity production. "The whole energy industry is working today 24/7," the minister summarized. We will remind, on December 26 in Kiev and five other regions of Ukraine introduced emergency shutdowns of electricity. Repair of key energy and equipment facilities requires considerable time because of the scale and complexity of damage.
