Russia won France? Pro -Russian dictators in Africa have created their union - what does it mean to the world

A new military-political union has been created in Africa-the Confederation of Sahal, founded by the leaders of military junta, who came to power in Mali, Burkina-Faso and Niger. So in the world a new reality is formed - a space where the right of force is actually legitimized. Who is behind this - Moscow, or Beijing? The focus understood that the international community of the Union of African military dictators.

During 2020-2023, military coups took place in Mali, Burkina-Faso and Niger, which resulted in the coming to power in these countries of military junta. These transformations took place in the context of wider processes that took place throughout the Sahal region (a territory located between the Central Africa savannahs and the Sahara Desert). All these coups had one bright common denominator - they all happened under "anti -colonial sauce".

The military junta, which came to power, accused the governments they dropped in continuing colonial policy, with the main enemy depicted France. The main consequence of this series of military coups was the displacement of the official Paris from his actual influence zone in French -speaking Africa - the former core of the French colonial empire. There is no smoke without fire, and military dictators took on rhetorical weapons what they said all around.

Paris really reserved a significant impact on his former colonies. Thus, the states formed several decades ago on the territory of French colonies in West Africa, they became with the former English and Portuguese colonies in the organization under the name of ECowas - the economic union of African states.

However, within the framework of this organization, the French formed their subregional association - the West African Economic and Monetary Union (French abbreviation of the UEMOA), which uses Frank CfA for financial operations, which is tied to the euro, that is, under some influence of the French Central Bank.

French companies have access to natural resources on fairly favorable conditions, and all this is against the background of total poverty of the overwhelming part of the countries of the region. Indeed, a fertile ground for the creation of a "propaganda monster", the fight against which justifies everything. This is the monster in the heads of the mostly poorly educated inhabitants of the region from modern France. The question is who deals with it.

Often, on various anonymous channels in messengers or pages on social networks, the "ears" of Moscow and Beijing are visible. In Sakhal States, more open information campaigns against the former colonial empires (France suffered the most) with the support of "world imperialism". If Beijing has traditionally focused on economic and cultural and educational projects, Moscow tried on the role of a battle dog. In the form of a variety of proxy, the Kremlin de facto took power in Africa.

For several years, the main tool for this was the notorious "Wagner PVC", and last summer its place was taken by the African Corps. Even when the first upheaval, Burkina-Faso and Guinea took place, many analysts began to talk about the probable formation of the Confederation, which should unite the African region from the Atlantic to the Pacific under the actual control of this Kremlin proxy.

However, the failure of the group allies in Sudan did not allow this ambitious purpose of Russian mercenaries. The revolution in Niger in the summer of last year again changed the balance on the scales of Libra. The fact is that Niger controls extensive territories that are strategic to the geopolitics of the region. It also has a strategic resource - uranium ores. This trump card significantly enhances the role of potential confederation, even without direct access to the oceans.

Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger combines the factor of proximity to the Russian proxy. The leaders of the first two states are protected by fighters of the Wagner PEC / "African Corps". These proxies provide instructors and military specialists to prepare the armed forces of these countries. They are involved in conducting military operations against various rebel groups in the territory of these countries.

Therefore, we can talk about a certain level of occupation of these two states with Russian proxy. And since the summer of last year - after a military coup - rumors about the presence of the forces of the African Corps in Niger. These three countries formed the Alliance in the fall of 2023.

And on July 6, 2024, at a meeting in Niger Niemiae's capital, Colonel Asima Goita from Mali, Captain Ibrahim Trarea from Burkina Faso and the owner of the summit, General Abduramann Tiani, proclaimed the creation of the Sachael Confederation. The total population of the countries of this new integration association is approximately 72 million.

If you set out the main points of the Declaration on the formation of the Confederation of Sahal and the statements of the heads of the founding states, they are as follows: that is, the Confederation positions itself as an example of the existence of former colonies of Western countries. An alternative to the current model.

Considering that the former European colonies are the majority of existing states today, it is difficult to overestimate the prospects of such a model to enhance the anticloonial format. However, there are more everyday prospects within much closer time. So, in the first week, Burkina-Faso visited Saddam Haftar, a son of a rebellious Russia-rebellious and her proxy of the Libyan General Khalifa Haftar.

The agreement with the Libyan insurgents will provide the Sahal confederation with access to the Mediterranean, which, however, de facto controls NATO. The issue of participation in the work of unification of other countries, where military coups have taken place under similar slogans in the identical political situation, remains open.

Also, do not reject the coup or strengthen the pro -Russian groups in countries with access to the ocean with the prospect of their further entry into the Sahal Confederation. The access to the sea coast would bring its geopolitical weight to a qualitatively new level and this will obviously be the purpose of the Union in the near future. So far, the main asset of the Confederation of Sahal is the natural and geographical resources of Niger.

The military power of the state has already selected uranium mines in the French campaign. It is likely that the Russians or Chinese will be taken under control. In the spring, Vlad Niger declared the possible sale of this resource to Iran. The state of uranium stocks in Europe is unclear. Can the Old World cope with Niger in the face of an increase in the atomic energy rate in the strategic perspective? So far, European officials say: everything is under control.

For Ukraine, the formation and functioning of such candid antisystem, anti -Western formations is a clearly negative scenario. Strategic terms, the Confederation of Sahal is a vivid challenge to the current system and demonstration of an alternative model of geopolitical relationships. The minisquisite was formed - an association in which there are completely different rules of the game. It is a model of international relations when the right of power as it is.

Power in all participating countries by force was captured by the military who introduce their values ​​and receive recognition of other entities. And this formation, if demonstrates its viability, will certainly expand - in the world, and especially in Africa, the rulers who wish another source of legitimacy than the one that demonstrates the Western doctrine, namely, the will of the people. In the Confederation of Sahal, such a source is the availability of objective force.

If you seized power, you could do it, then you will have it and you do not need anything else. In North Korea, for example, the regime demonstrates, though completely fake, but popular support. The Sahal Confederation even refused this absurd theater. This is a completely new level of life: now the Western legal tradition is not even trying to imitate. And this is already a real alternative to the Western way of society, and therefore civilization.

In tactical terms, the Confederation of Sahal can be used as a object of bargaining with the West, in particular with France - for uranium. On another scarf, the Teresa may be quite likely to support our country. And not the fact that this trump card will not be effective.

Official Paris can be given a choice - to send troops to Ukraine and inevitably receive victims among personnel and leave their nuclear power plants without nuclear fuel, and leading international resource extractive companies without a lion's share of earnings - or leave troops in barracks, weapons in warehouses, and energy logistics-in status-quo. This is an example rather rude, but somewhere it can be a conversation.
