A document in which they did not agree to hold the election was not signed by one deputy group, consisting of 17 people's deputies. The heads of the majority of the Verkhovna Rada faction, as well as individual people's deputies, signed a special document based on the results of the ninth "Dialogue of Jean Monet", which took place in the Transcarpathian region in mid -November 2023. The people's deputies agreed to postpone the elections to Parliament for the time after the victory in the war.

This is stated in the press service on the Council's webport. The meeting of parliamentarians took place in the village of Turia Pasika, Transcarpathian region and lasted three days - from November 10 to November 2023. The meeting was attended by representatives of all parliamentary factions, who signed the document called "The conclusions accepted during the ninth dialogue of Jean Sea. " One of the paragraphs states that the elections will take place six months after the end of the war.

At the same time, existing legislation will be followed, but will make some changes in the "competitiveness of candidates within the same election list". The text also wrote that parliamentarians "undertake to refrain from actions that can discredit the work of parliament both domestically and in the international arena. " They also noted that they were convinced of the importance of national elections that will take place after the war.

The VRU press service published a document and showed who exactly signed the refusal. Among them are representatives and heads of factions and groups: "Servant of the People" (David Arahamia), "European Solidarity" (Irina Gerashchenko), "Batkivshchyna" (Yulia Tymoshenko), "Voice" (Oleksandra Ustinov), "Trust" (Vladimir Arshasonkov " ), "Platform for Life and Peace" (Mikhail Papiyev), "Trust" (Larisa Bilozir). In the end, the name of Anna Skorokhod from the group "For the Future" is written.

The first signature is the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Kornienko. There is no signature of representatives of the deputy group "Restoration of Ukraine", which includes, for example, Vadim Stolar, Alexander Feldman, Yevgeny Shevchenko. In addition, the document states that the people's deputies are aware of the challenges facing Ukraine in connection with Russian aggression, as well as on the way to the European Union.

Therefore, they agreed that they would jointly reform Parliament and make decisions needed without delay. It should be noted that "Jean Monet's dialogues" occur for the second time during the Russian invasion. The event is organized with the support of a number of European parliamentary institutions. It aims to achieve coordination for peace and cooperation among parliamentarians. For this purpose, mediation is carried out to maintain dialogue.

In Ukraine, these measures have been conducted since 2016. Meanwhile, some Western politicians in the summer and autumn of 2023 suggested that Ukrainian officials have been elected - to the Verkhovna Rada or presidential. At the same time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky explained that this is not possible because it did not comply with the Ukrainian legislation. At the same time, one of the Ukrainian experts published his forecast for 2024.
