During the period of a full -scale invasion of Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine, the national police searched more than 14 thousand missing persons, 7,000 of them are servicemen. From the beginning of the full -scale invasion of the occupation troops of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the National Police have been able to find 14 409 missing persons: 4 529 of them - found dead. In addition, since February 24, 2022, more than 2000 bodies have been returned to Ukraine.

The deputy head of the National Police - the Head of Criminal Police Andriy Nebitov - said this in a comment to the TV channel "Public". He said that the National Police searched about 7,000 servicemen, however, 3,876 of them were found dead. Nebitov stressed that 50 150 people are considered missing in Ukraine, but explained that 12 292 people in this day are those people who have disappeared before the start of a full -scale invasion of all years of independence.

The number of unknown dead bodies before the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation was 6 702, today it is 10 462 bodies. The deputy chairman of the National Police also cited the figures of returned bodies of citizens of Ukraine with Russia occupied by Russia. "In 2022, 848 bodies were returned from the occupied territories, in 2023 - 1265, in 2024 235 bodies were already," Netbitov said.
