Diet Pollution: The Russian Federation dumped in water from a sugar mill near Kursk - Shmigal

According to the Prime Minister, the actions of the Russians at the enterprise in Totkino have led to tremendous consequences, including a decrease in oxygen levels and a depressure of fish. There is no threat to life and health, the situation is under control. The reason for the pollution of the Seimas and Pisces River was the Russian sugar mill in the city of Kursk region. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal during a press conference.

According to him, the sugar mill of Russians in Dutkino dumped various impurities into the water. Such contamination with organic matter and led to a decrease in the level of oxygen, as well as the rubbing of fish in the Seimas River. The Prime Minister noted that such cases have been prescribed response steps, because the depressing fish lead to some consequences. "We understand that the substances are organic, they cause contamination.

Already some part of the river has passed, the recovery processes have taken place where it went closer to the border. At the moment, the organic is settling, dissolved," Denis Shmigal said. At the same time, according to the head of government, there is no threat to life and health of people today. The same applies to the threat to Chernihiv water intakes on the Desna River, as well as on the Dnieper Kiev. Situation under control.

"Measures to combat the cleaning of the active sludge are taking place," Denis Shmigal summed up. The State Agency of Reclamation and Fisheries of Ukraine informed that on August 14, Russia caused large -scale pollution of the Seimas, dropping unknown waste into it. This river flows into the gums, which also found poisonous substances. The Desna River is the right tributary of the Dnieper. On August 30, it was reported that 150 kilograms of dead fish were caught from the Seimas River a day.

In the village, new mills gathered volunteers who get out of the water and bury dead fish. The locals share that they are forced to work in masks, because after a long stay near the water becomes ill. On September 9, a "slight unpleasant odor" was recorded on the central beach in Chernihiv. V. O. Mayor Oleksandr Lomako reported that the water had darkened, and there is a massive reservation of fish in places.

We will remind, on September 10 the deputy director of PJSC "Kyivvodokanal" Volodymyr Kostyuk stated that Kiev can remain without the main source of drinking water due to pollution of the gums. In the worst case, the capital will have to abandon the Desnyansk station and move to the Dnieper and artesian sources. Later, Kyivvodokanal said that the information is incorrect and the situation is controlled. The likelihood of the most percentic scenario is low today, the company's representatives said.
