The US sales vessel passed the Turkish Strait of Bosphorus on the way from Syria to Russia at the end of last month. Representatives of European intelligence who tracked Sparta-2 say that it transported military vehicles to support the war of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
One of the anonymous sources of Bloomberg, familiar with this issue, said that the US government believes that Russia is using trade vessels to transport military goods to the Black Sea, which repeats European intelligence reports. There are signs that the Kremlin has been looking for additional resources in other places.
The tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan through the Spirit and Karabakh region has flashed in recent weeks against Moscow's reports that Russia has reduced a peacekeeping contingent to 2000 people to send to Ukraine. In March, the United States stated that Russia had transferred some troops to Ukraine from the occupied South Ossetia.
