"It is necessary to start negotiations": Ukraine and Russia have reached the limit in the war - the Foreign Ministry of Turkey

According to the Turkish diplomat Hakan Fidan, both sides of the confrontation have made a maximum on the battlefield, so it is time to agree on ceasefire and "recognition of occupation". Ukraine and the Russian Federation reached the limit of what they could achieve in the war with each other. Now it was time to resolve a conflict through diplomacy. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, reports Cafe Siyaset.

The statements were made during the 3rd Antalyan Diplomatic Forum, which discussed important issues. The meeting was attended by 4,700 people from 148 countries. These are: 19 heads of state and governments, 2 heads of special administrations and 52 foreign ministers. One of the topics was given to Ukraine.

Khakan Fidan met with his colleague from Russia, Sergei Lavrov, with which they raised the theme of the Caucasus, the Syrian issue, as well as the situation in the Black Sea and in Ukraine as a whole. "As for the Ukrainian issue, we believe that both sides have reached the limit of what they can achieve war and we need to start negotiations on ceasefire. We believe that it is time to talk separately about the recognition of occupation and ceasefire," - it is said in message.

We will remind, on March 3 it was reported that in the Russian Federation they do not see the possibility of negotiations with Ukraine without the participation of Moscow, as stated by the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Gerulovo. In his opinion, the Kremlin's interests should be taken into account in the discussion of the "Ukrainian crisis". The enemy does not consider other scenarios.
