President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that the whole world, including the countries of the African continent, cannot take a neutral position on Russia's war against Ukraine, as Russian aggression will have consequences for them as well. The Head of State said this during an online meeting with African journalists, including media representatives from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana. “I do not think that there should be neutrality in the war. It's a wrong attitude.

There can be no neutrality between life and death. When you are neutral to war, you immediately turn into a small state. No one sees you, the world sees you, and therefore - you do not affect the processes in the world. And when you have problems, you should remember that the world can also be neutral. And it's not about business - it's about people's lives. I believe that the position of neutrality is not modern, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to the President, the world must know the truth that the colonial war that Russia has started in the Ukrainian territory. He noted that once racism and Nazism were allegedly advantage of one race or nation over others, and now a new term - "Rashism" has emerged, which describes the so -called "Russian peace" in which Russia does not recognize the right to the existence of a multimillion -dollar Ukrainian people , his languages ​​and culture.

According to the Head of State, if one country or another has not enough economic or political weight to influence the Russian Federation and force it to stop the war, at least at the level of diplomacy it is necessary to condemn death, autocracy, racism, Nazism and "Rashism", condemn aggression. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that the world had to pay more attention to what is happening in some countries of the African continent, which also survived wars and tragedies.

“There is not a long distance war. It is the injustice of the security structure of the whole world that needs to be changed. International institutions need to be changed in order to operate. Today, talking about security guarantees for Ukraine, we act as a living but tragic example that can then be extended to other continents for other countries, ”he said.

The President also noted that Ukraine does not divide Africa countries into neutrality about Russian aggression and those who support our country. Our state is ready to provide grain with all African countries that need it, because hunger can not be neutral. “It's about what people will die. I know what we need to help the African continent, as well as Africa, united, support Ukraine, because we are truth, ”he said.
