The UN declared "high probability" direct hit by the Russian rocket on "Ohmatdit"

The representative of the organization Daniel Bell said that according to the mission, the hospital suffered a direct hit rather than damage from the air defense system. On Tuesday, July 9, Daniel Belle, the UN Mission Head of Human Rights, stated that a blow to the Ohmatdit Children's Hospital in Kiev, most likely, caused a direct hit of a Russian rocket. This statement was made on the basis of its own mission analysis, Reuters reports.

"Analysis of video materials and an assessment conducted at the site of the incident indicates a high probability that the children's hospital has undergone a direct hit and has not suffered damage from the air system," the official said during a briefing in Geneva. According to her, a mission that visited the scene cannot draw a final conclusion, but apparently, the rocket was launched by the Russian Federation.

Belle added that in the center they treat children with serious illnesses, such as cancer and kidney disease, and at the time of the attack there were approximately 670 patients and about 1000 employees. "The staff transferred the children to the bunker yesterday in the morning, when the sirens of air anxiety were first heard, otherwise the victims would be much more," she added.

We will remind, according to the Security Service of Ukraine, Russian aggressors struck the Kiev hospital with a missile X-101. This conclusion was based on the SBU experts found on the site of the tragedy of the fragments of ammunition, in particular the remains of the engine of the Russian X-101. At the same time, the Kremlin deny the statements of the Ukrainian side about the involvement of the Russian rocket in the blow of Ohmatdit.
