Media found a new scheme of illegal supply of elite cars to Russia (photo)

Expensive premium cars get into the Russian FF transit through Georgia. Dozens of elite machines were found on the Georgian-Russian border. Despite the sanctions, expensive elite cars continue to be brought to Russia. They are delivered informally through third countries - such as Georgia. This is evidenced by the investigation of Sky News.

Sky News drew attention to interesting statistics: although direct exports of luxury goods (such as elite cars) after imposing sanctions against the Russian Federation have fallen to zero, it grew to neighboring countries - Azerbaijan, Georgia or Kazakhstan. Sky News journalists received photos of a large number of premium cars on the Russian-Georgian border. They visited Georgia and found a transit scheme of European brands to the Russian Federation.

Cars are transported to the border with Russia from car dealerships in Tbilisi or Black Sea ports of Batumi or Poti. Drivers do not know where the cars came from - directly from the plant or, for example, through Azerbaijan. At the border of the car is left for a few days, until the documents are issued. Many Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover and Mercedes G-Class and even expensive Lamborghini Urus were noticed in the parking lots. Among them are many cars in 2024.

Although Georgia has joined anti -Russian sanctions, you can still find loopholes and get around the restriction. Often machines are designed as a transit through Russia to countries like Kyrgyzstan. Since Georgia stores a visa waiver from the Russian Federation, they easily cross the border in transit numbers and leave cars in the Russian territory. The journalists photographed a VIN number of one of Range Rover and turned to the manufacturer of Jaguar Land Rover.

After checking there, they noted that this SUV was not intended not for Russia but even for Georgia. Sky News points out that this is one of the many schemes of bypassing sanctions.

"The result contradicts the promises as they were given during the introduction of these sanctions: the Russian economy remains strong, there is no shortage of essential goods in Moscow not of essentials, and Caucasian states, such as Georgia and Azerbaijan, have received a huge economic impetus because they became an informal channel Trade. By the way, it has recently become known that ZEEKR remotely blocks cars, illegally delivered to the Russian Federation and Belarus.
