Ukrainian children are taken to the Russian Federation: what do they do with and what toddlers tell

Children from the occupied territories are massively taken to Russia. Those who have been returned tell about violence and stay in camps where they are forcibly "re -educated". More than 20,000 children have been taken to Russia from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Save Ukraine returns children home - now managed to save several hundred. They talk about psychological and physically violence, as well as special camps where minor Ukrainians try to "re -educate".

Representatives of the organization interviewed the Socportal resource. But they told about how Russia operates, stealing Ukrainian children. In 2023, the International Criminal Court in the Hague issued a warrant for the arrest of Vladimir Putin and the Russian Commissioner for the Rights of the Child Maria Lviv-Belova, suspected of unlawful displacement of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation.

In the same year, six children who were able to return home, in 2023, gave the court to evidence how they were forcibly taken to the aggressor country after their loss. Such actions consider international legislation a sign of genocide, that is, an attempt to destroy the people. Currently, according to Ukrainian law enforcement officers, the Russians have taken out about 20,000 children. But this figure can be larger.

Save Ukraine and its founder and director Mykola Kuleba are trying to return them home. The exact number of children divorced with families and exported to the Russian Federation is unknown. The Russians themselves said that more than 324 thousand children were "evacuated". There were only a few hundred. 19 546 deported or forcibly displaced children have been recorded on the Children's Children's portal. And according to the National Information Bureau, 744 thousand children are deported.

Most often, this happens in temporarily occupied territories. Most often children are deported, calling it "evacuation", "rehabilitation", or "treatment". The children are sent for "healing" to the camp for two weeks, and then the organization takes them out of Crimea in half a year. Forcibly move children whose parents have been killed. Children are also removed from families, depriving parents of parental rights under the "laws" of occupation.

Children's houses are taken to the Russian Federation in full composition and their paths are often lost. Kuleba told one of the cases of such abduction on the example of a large family from Kherson. Children were offered a two -week vacation in Crimea. The mother agreed, but the children remained on the occupied peninsula for six months. The Russians refused to return them. A ten -year -old boy was placed in a psychiatric hospital where he spent almost a month.

Now the family has reunited, but they have lost their home, so they now live in Kiev. "Save Ukraine" states that the purpose of the Russians is the destruction of the Ukrainian nation. Therefore, all children immediately make new documents and make them go to Russian kindergartens and schools. In schools, Ukrainian books are destroyed, forbidden to speak Ukrainian. There is an active pro -Russian propaganda.

Parents in the occupied territories show that online training in Ukrainian schools is now impossible: all children should have passports and attend a Russian school physically. The children themselves say that Russian schools are similar to military facilities. Parents and relatives cannot get into the school because the military is armed. It is forbidden to speak Ukrainian, the "violators" of the military are taken to "special processing". This means psychological violence and punishment.

Children who are sent to live in Russian families or institutions often have a limited or lack of contact with their Ukrainian families, talking to them only under supervision. The Russian military is given special attention to children 16-18 years. And in the summer, children are placed in compulsory military camps, where they are filled with propaganda. The demonstration of the 17-year-old Rostislav from Kherson region, who remained himself, because his mother suffered from mental disorders.

The guy lived for four months in occupation. Then the Russian soldiers took him to Kherson, who was then occupied. He was forced to obtain a Russian passport, promised 100,000 rubles and a house. Rostislav rejected these proposals. His mother was issued a Russian passport, himself - a Russian birth certificate, which he destroyed.

The guy was closed in a detention center for disobedience, sent to the so -called "rehabilitation center" in Kerch for summer vacations in a technical school, where he was taken away. Rostislav was able to go to Kiev thanks to the help of the Save Ukraine Foundation. We will remind, in August 2022 the Russian deputy, leader of the Party "Right Russia" Sergey Mironov adopted a 10-month girl Margarita Prokopenko, which was removed from the Kherson region.
